Oh, so you can trust your eyes and we can't?
We can watch Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith holding their own in 1x1s against Chris Jones and Jarran Reed, and it doesn't matter?
We can watch them wall off and dominate and pancake guys in the preseason, and it doesn't matter?
Makes me laugh.
I hope McDowell has a great return and makes the most of the opportunity (both on and off the field).
But it's kind of hilarious to read on here or on Twitter when Browns fans are like "Chiefs guys, never taken a snap, they're going to SUCK (against noted JAGs like Malik Jackson and Andrew Billings and overrated hype machine Jadaveon Clowney and equally unproven Malik McDowell)." [Reply]

You do understand they are practicing against Chris Jones everyday, right...and Jarran Reed?
I think the Chiefs veteran coaching staff knows what they have... [Reply]

Um. Yeah.
Thus the general confidence level here.
They're newbies so yeah, don't expect them to be as good Week 1 as they will be later, but they also will be an obvious and large upgrade from what KC rolled out in the Super Bowl or throughout the playoffs/last half of the season.
Just to remind the lurking Browns fan what the Super Bowl OL was and how it relates to now, that Chiefs OL unit was:
LT: a guy who is now the 6th or 7th guy on the OL 2-deep
LG: the guy who is now the 9th or 10th guy on the OL 2-deep
C: a guy who walked as a FA and remains unsigned to this day
RG: a guy who now is a preacher at RG
RT: a guy who is 9th or 10th on the OL 2-deep [Reply]

Right, but confidence with those guys would be justified due to game experience. Overall ability has nothing to do with it. [Reply]

Preseason results and training camp. Yeah I get it, hard to base anything off of that, and its possible that the OLine needs some time to gel. But yeah, the rooks look great. Our new center, Humphrey, has been rock solid. Trey Smith looks NASTY. Really excited to see him. And Niang has looked better and better as preseason went on. [Reply]

Yeah this is the other thing. All of these guys have reps against Chris Fucking Jones. Now that doesn't necessarily mean they're ready for anything, but there's no doubt they've been well tested in camp and practice. [Reply]

Sounds kind of like the browns secondary... there will be lots of new players in this game.
So we should probably throw the playoff game out the window. [Reply]
Brownies fans can keep trying to wish it into existence, but you're not likely to be on KC's level.
To make up for the deficit at QB, Cleveland would need to be vastly better throughout the rest of the roster and on the coaching staff. They're not. Period. [Reply]
