Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
I'm not sure if you can go right or wrong as far as Pat playing or not playing this year. I think if he's going to be great, he'll be great regardless of when he starts.
But, when Smith is playing this poorly, you risk a locker room implosion if they don't make the change. They sat Terrance Mitchell when he struggled for a few weeks (although he was always going to be better than the backups). So, what is the team supposed to think when they won't sit the QB who is playing a major role in the team losing games? [Reply]
Patrick loves the game of football he could have been a Major leaguer but his love is football. I think we are holding him back not playing him and holding back team chemistry that we can build on for next year and be that much better. [Reply]
Honest to god, doea anyone know how many pass interference calls we've had FOR us this year? You get them from QBs taking shots down field and I can't think of maybe two we have had ALL year [Reply]

Gotta take shots if you expect to get any calls. [Reply]

Exactly, anytime we play Carr, Big Ben, etc I'm always worried about pass interference because they're gonna at least get a few calls from just purely giving their receiver a chance.
If you can name me the last time a touchdown came from a fade route Alex has thrown id love to know.
Shit Matt Cassel used to throw the fades to Bowe [Reply]
Of course he's gonna say that. He's the one saying it is everyone else's fault except Alex of why we have problems with the offense. If they make the switch and PM lights it up, he'll look like an idiot. [Reply]
Not only wanting a full year of watching, and learning in an apprenticeship type role... but also just wanting him to start fresh with a new year as The Man, with multiple new players, and a system fully revamped specifically for him
But that was before Smith turned back into Smiff
Pat was born and bred to do this, so I no longer fear throwing him out there... nonetheless, my gut still says Reid resists the urge to pull the trigger [Reply]

I still think that he won't pull Smith until after the Chargers game and that's only if we lose the next three games. [Reply]

Its tough for me to imagine losing the next three, just seems like they'll all snap out of it just enough to win the division ... the D will eventually get a few turnovers, and Smiff will muddle around his average 225 yds 1td and no picks the rest of the way
In short, it'll be just enough in Reids mind to justify sticking with Smiff... so we back into the playoffs, lose in the WC round and then get to salivate at what 2018 will bring [Reply]
