Now's a funny time to predict the Broncos will be "stuck" in an unsuccessful "couldda shouldda wouldda" rut for the next ten years ... we made substantial progress this season, first winning record, first playoffs in what, 8 and 9 years?
You can bet that some decade-long rut's gonna Jump up and bite us, I just don't agree. [Reply]
He was complicit in the coverup, but not in the planning, administration or commission of the "crimes." Either you did NOT read it, or you didn't understand it, because I did more than just IMPLY it, I actually SAID it.
Even though you're wrong, I won't call you a "lying bag of worms"
You don't have to be involved in a 'crime' to cover it up, Mr. Dunning - I MEAN - Dempsey. And not everyone (by a longshot) wants to play narc or boss-man to his co-workers.
I agree 100% that Sean should've immediately put an END to any part of it still going on, end everyone's involvement. But once that's done, LOTS of people, maybe most people, depending how close they are to the co-workers, or whomever is involved, would opt to try to help keep them out of trouble, out of jail.
EXAMPLE: Say you go home tonight, walk in, and your sister Sadie Mae Dempsey is frantic - there's blood everywhere ... She screams "Dempsey! I shot Wilbur (her boyfriend), he's dead! Me and Darlene dragged him out to the pickup, we gotta go get ridda the body!" and they take off in the truck. You fill a bucket with hot water and start cleaning up the blood. About an hour later, the police come to the door, "Son, you know whar Wilbur is? His mama is rill worried." You tell him no, you don't know.
QUIZ:
Are you guilty of murder?
Guilty of manslaughter?
Conspiracy to commit murder?
Accessory to murder?
Accessory after the fact?
Destruction of evidence?
Concealment of evidence?
Hearsay is a rule of evidence that's only relevant when a jury is present. If you're using the word informally, well, about EVERYTHING any of us hear and repeat is hearsay.
No, I wasn't present when persons qualified under Fed.R.Evid. § 602 to have personal knowledge of the matter made statements, nor was I myself qualified under § 602 to have personal knowledge. So no, I would not be permitted to testify in front of a jury.
But numerous sources, several I've consulted today, report that Payton had no involvement in the planning or administration of the bounty program. The NFL conducted two investigations into bountygate, and the worst they say about Sean is that he was aware of the investigation (the second one at least), and, knowing there was an investigation qualifies as "constructive notice" something was going on. The commissioner ruled he should've taken strong action, warned the team, the coaching staff, that none of it would be tolerated.
BY THE WAY .... There was credible information that the Vikings had a very similar bounty program active at the same time. But Goodell chose not to investigate.

Hey! I asked about Clark Hunt and Arrowhead Stadium a couple pages back, but nobody wanted to brag about his efforts to get $500k in tax pledges to add to his $300k to fund an $800k renovation of Arrowhead? Sad. And too bad the voters didn't want to help. [Reply]

That's cute, but your name isn't acceptable to become one of us. Just off the top of my head, these are the people I'd welcome into our inner circle before a bronco: Hitler, Jeffrey Dahmer, Lyle Menendez and his brother, my wife's grandma, my backyard neighbor who "accidentally" mowed over my rose bushes, Aaron Hernandez. Fixed again.

I'm more inclined to suspect that you only want to keep peddling your Donktard mythology which has already been debunked. [Reply]
Hey DonkoBaffoon, there would be no 3 game winning steak if we hadn't blocked that kick because the starters would have had to play week 18 and would have destroyed the cheating Donks in that game. I guess that you're one of the dipshits pounding your chest about beating 3rd stringers week 18???? [Reply]

I don’t think you understand math. $800K is $800,000.
I suspect you get lots of things wrong in life. Sucks to be stupid. I would stop advertising it though if I were you. YMMV. [Reply]

Stupid, huh? My mensa card says otherwise.
What makes you think I don't know what 'k' means, what it stands for? I'm expecting a defensible response, after all, you called me stupid. You must know why you found a simple abbreviated conversion enough to draw such a conclusion.

I see now! It's MILLION, not THOUSAND. My mistake.
Still not math though. Let's see if you're enough a man to admit your mistake as I just was admitting mine. $100 he won't do so, not without extraneous nonsense. Any takers?

That's funny ... you thought I was serious.
And "inner circle?" I don't think so.

It's spelled 'buffoon,' with a 'U,' not an 'A.'
Chiefs won home field by TWO games, so you had one to spare. Besides, it's just raw speculation, why pick it apart like that?

Ok, boys, he unlocked the spelling nazi function. Let's include grammar nazi in that too. You better hope your spelling and grammar have been impeccable. [Reply]

I only just noticed this. I've never known anyone that was really smart that had to tell me how smart he was. When someone has to tell you, they're not really that smart. [Reply]

Lol. Yes it is Buffoon. That's what I get for posting during a football game.
Regardless, the Chiefs and Bills both rested their starters week 18 because homefield was decided. Had the Chiefs lost to the cheating Donks the first time, it would not have been decided. The Chiefs and the Bills would have both played their starters. It's not that difficult to figure out. Your speculation needs picked apart because it's ridiculous to think that there was any way that there was going to be a 3 game winning streak for the cheating Donks against the Chiefs. THAT is laughable. [Reply]
