We have 2 more weeks of nonsense left to deal with. Here's some fights to watch this weekend.
Friday
11am - (Youtube) Prime Selection 17
Based on tapology rankings, this is a terrible card even by local promotion standards. But its free, so whatever.
6pm - (Fightpass) Titan FC 45
Based on tapology rankings, this is about average by local promotion standards.
Saturday
12:30 pm - (Fightpass) Polaris 5
This is a grappling event. Its judged grappling which isn't ideal, but whatever, grappling is cool.
Sunday Morning
1:00 am - (Fightpass) Pancrase 289
This is about average and maybe slightly above average by local promotion standards, which is great for Pancrase since its a very low-level promotion, so if you want to see middle of the night MMA, this could be good.
Daniel says the only reason I defeated him the first time is because I must have been on steroids, wonder what his excuse will be this time pic.twitter.com/HMCFQBoBR4

Bellator returns on Friday. I think there may be some boxing event on Saturday. Here's the MMA schedule:
Friday
7pm - (Fightpass) - Glory 44
This is your alternative to Bellator. Do you like kickboxing? Well, here you go then.
8pm - (Spike) - Bellator 182 Koreshkov vs. Njokuani
Bellator scheduled this way in advance of the freakshow on Saturday, but once they saw what was going on this weekend, they dialed it back. No title fights, and this one is slightly below average by Bellator standards. Hardly anyone recognizable, they threw a lot of prospects and old vets from their roster onto this card.
Saturday
lol, not a goddamn thing, maybe you can find a local promotion somewhere, but no one noteworthy is counterprogramming the freakshow.
Tuesday
7pm - (Fightpass)
This is the final week of DWTNCS, hopefully they bring it back later this year or next year. I assume this is ending because next week we'll have the new season of TUF on Wednesdays. [Reply]
Two title fights tonight. Based on tapology rankings, this looks above average by Invicta standards.
Saturday
10:30am - (Fightpass) - UFC Fight Night Volkov vs Struve
This card is in Europe and only on Fightpass, not televised. The main event is really good, but there's not much else. This is a pretty bad UFC card overall. [Reply]
Connor just looked legit vs. Floyd (and by legit I mean a legit boxing talent, not a legit threat to Floyd) and the Andrew Luck of the UFC (Jones) just pissed hot for the 1,821st time.
Connor now standing as perhaps the only top tier draw on MMA PPV... [Reply]

You probably wouldn't know this from the very little effort the UFC went to promoting it, but we have a PPV and two title fights this weekend.
Friday
5pm - (Fightpass) - TKO 40
Canadian promotion, and from tapology rankings this one looks pretty decent by local promotion standards with 6 regional top-10 fighters on the card.
Saturday
7pm TV - (5:30pm Fightpass/7pm FS1/9pm PPV) - UFC 215, Johnson vs Borg
Demetrious Johnson is going for the UFC title defense record against someone who, although is the #3 contender, no one really believes has a chance. After he has the record, Mighty Mouse should really think about moving to Bantamweight because he has crushed this division. DJ is a -1000 favorite.
The most interesting fight of the night has to be the co-main, where the challenger is actually favored over the women's bantamweight champ. Nunes has been a decent champion, but in their first meeting Shevchenko was coming alive and looked like she'd win a 5-round fight, but she ran out of time in their 3-round fight and lost the decision. We also have RDA vs Neil Magny which is a cool fight, and the free undercard is pretty good.
Casual fans are going to shun this PPV and watch some pretty compelling high-profile OOC college football games on the major network channels. This PPV probably won't sell worth a damn, which is a shame. [Reply]
I must have watched a different Nunes vs Shevchenko fight than the judges.
I dont think there is any chance someone could convince me that Nunes won any of the middle rounds and even the 5th round takedown wasn't all that impressive to me because she didnt do a damn thing with it. [Reply]
