I believe that on Christmas Day, the Donk fanbase will be Chiefs fans. A Chiefs win on Christmas means that they will be playing backups against the Donks in week 18. That's their best bet to deal that last playoff spot. So, enjoy getting to root for a legit good team for once. In the spirit of Christmas and Home Alone 2......Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals. Especially knowing the truth about him like we do.
Perhaps that documentary might explain why Elway's throwing style looked like Elway was pulling a turd out of his back pocket...........especially compared to just about every other QB that played the game that I can think of.
And of course, the documentary won't tell you that he was really only good to a point & was clearly 2nd-tier like these stats & the overhead camera does:
During John Elway's career (1983 to 1998), there were 19 QBs who started 100+ games. Here is where Elway ranks in major statistical categories:
Completion%: 16th
TD%: 13th
INT%: 10th
Passer Rating: 14th
Yards per Attempt: 10th
Adjusted Net Yards per Attempt: 11th [Reply]

There's a reason he always had to make a comeback in his games. [Reply]

And it just so happens that Turd Elway played in 100 games with his Donkeys trailing at the end of the 3rd QTR and only brought them from behind to victory 24 times. That percentage of 24 ranks Elway 40th all-time in that category.....with Patrick Mahomes ranking 1st and Joe Montana ranks 5th. [Reply]

Oh yeah, and I've told others that if Pete Rozelle had been able to stay on as commissioner for another 10-15 years, and beyond the end of Elway's career, then Elway would have never seen another SB and had to retire ringless....just like he really should have. [Reply]

Was it the coke thing? I once read a story about some woman who went on the radio in Washington DC, she was talking about star players abusing drugs and airing the NFL's dirty laundry. Elway was one of the players she mentioned. Supposedly Jack Kent Cooke (Then Redskins Owner) was furious and had her immediately pulled from the air. [Reply]

I haven't heard about that one before.
I do believe that Rozelle would not have let the Donks get away with violating the salary cap, like Tagliabue did, nor let the Donks get away with wearing Vaseline-like substance on their jerseys.
The officials have also never been held accountable since Rozelle stepped down & they certainly should have been held accountable for that '97 playoff Kabuki Theater debacle. [Reply]
