And it’s been a while since anyone could nitpick his game like this…

Technicality… ok. Just hold on to the ball.

I looked at that play & it was hairline close.

But, it leads to the obvious question -- why didn't Taylor just keep a hold of the football and run through the end zone with it? He cost his team dearly. And this type of bone-headed play has been seen before.

Merry Christmas Donkeys......because you got gifted on that one, for sure by Jonathan Taylor.

Yes, it was tight… just hold the ball and Denver likely doesn’t come back. Who knows. Refs made the right call.

I didnt say the refs made a bad call...I'm saying your team got unjustly rewared after getting smoked on that play.

Now you have to send flowers to the Jets AND Indy...enjoy your fluke season...might be a while before you have another like it.

Yes they did.

Because when you're THAT goddamn stupid, you deserve to lose a TD and your team deserves to take the loss.

Frankly, the league should just consider contracting the next team that employs someone stupid enough to do that. It happens every single season and these stupid assholes just keep doing it.

You. Don't. Look. Cool.

Why? Just what the hell purpose can dropping the football near the goalline serve?

It's the single least explicable thing to happen in all of organized sports and it happens to some other moron every year.

It's the dumbest shit I've seen on the field. If I were the coach, Taylor's ass would finish his contract on the bench. There's just no reason whatsoever for that retarded celebration.

No...they dont.

Donks do NOT deserve anything good to happen for their franchise for at least another decade. Condoleezza Rice should never be allowed a moment of joy for the remainder of her material existence...

LMFAO

Just saw that play for the first time. That's far luckier than anything that's happened to the Chiefs this year. Also looks like a bad call. What a lame fucking way to steal a TD from a team.

Steal? The dummy dropped it to be cool and taunt the fans.

Bad teams do dumb things.

You’re certainly hoping that’s the case. Denver has some issues, but they’re winning and it’s not all thanks to flukes. I’m really hoping KC has to play their starters in the final game and I hope the Broncos advance and play the Steelers.

These next 3-4 weeks should be interesting, especially if Surtain is healthy and Riley Moss returns.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Desean Jackson basically invent that fucktarded move of dropping the ball early before you cross the end zone line?

Not sure, but we see it way too often. A college player did that and the defender picked it up and scored, IIRC… last couple of years.

Lots of clips on YouTube of this happening.

I will never understand why they do it. What's so fun about dropping the ball exactly when you cross the goal line?

It goes back further than that. In 1969, RB Dave Hampton of GB ran a kickoff back and spiked the ball at the 3-yard line, but the refs didn't see it and Hampton was awarded an 87-yard TD kickoff return in the Packers 14-7 win over SF. Hampton was just lucky (in spite of his foolishness) on that one.

In 1971, Pittsburgh Steeler WR Dave Smith caught a pass against KC and was on his way to a 55-yard TD and started an early celebration at the 5-yard line, only to have the ball fly out of his hand and roll through the end zone. This time, the refs did see it and correctly ruled a touchback. Smith was just out of luck.
