Remember when I said that you drafted a lesser Alex Smith...and would soon start rationalizing that he just needs a better WR...or RB...more cap space or whatever.
You're entering that phase...and once you get those and your team is still mediocre...then the fans will start to turn on Nix. That next season's narrative.
Carr just needed weapons...they got Jacobs and Adams. All three are on a different team now.
Welcome to the cycle of average QB purgatory...rinse, repeat. I guess it's better than being terrible but you'll always be just "one player" away. [Reply]

I can't help but wonder if Nix will still be in Denver when his rookie contract is done.
If he does, then to the best of my knowledge, he'll be the first, as for QB's drafted by the Donks. [Reply]

Well, pick any QB and put him in that offense and he needs a legit TE and similar upgrades around the offense. You talk as if Nix should be able to be top tier without upgrades. [Reply]
Nix has the advantage of never getting pressure out on him due to the oline. I don’t know the cap situation or contract situation of the line but it seems that is his biggest benefactor and if that fails then it would be interesting to see what he does. [Reply]

Bolles' contract is up along with a bunch of players...he'll be fairly expensive. Donks finishing with 7-8 wins will make it tough to land a blue chip LT.
Then they cant select the top WR they think Nix needs... [Reply]

Nix will never be top tier...could be top 15 if he maximizes his potential. [Reply]
