We’ll see if that changes now that he’s apparently going to be given more responsibility than he got in GB.
It was just hard to watch any GB game last year and think, “Man Davante Adams is incredible but the rest of those turds kinda suck”
There's no MVS thread I can find so this will have to be where I post these things. I brought up your post in another forum and this is the response I got from a Green Bay fan:

I thought MVS improved quite a bit in 2021 and he's consistently a WR I've been targeting in my many best ball drafts thus far.
So at least one fan blames Rodgers, not MVS. You would expect them to be a homer about it too and blame the wide receiver not the golden QB. [Reply]

Certainly. But it is already moving significantly faster between Mahomes and MVS than it is with Juju or Skyy which is my only point.
All the people posting that MVS sucks and he isn't going to get more than 400 yards aren't doing the research they're just throwing shit against the wall. [Reply]

He had a specific role in GB and did it well. IIRC he didn’t have a single drop last year. His speed is basically Hill-level. And he’s still an ascending young player.
What is he so bad at?
He didn't do it well. He was a limited and frustrating WR that only caught 49% of the balls thrown his way. It's why he's not back with them even though they needed all the WR help they could get. [Reply]

Are you really basing chemistry off mini camp practices? [Reply]
Are you ever basing your opinion on any topic whatsoever on anything other than what you want to believe? Don't answer I'm not interested in having conversations with you anymore. [Reply]

:-) you're the one talking about mini camp chemistry. [Reply]

If your role is to catch deep balls, your catch rate is going to be much lower than a receiver that is asked to do more. Again, he had zero drops last year.
He’s not there because they didn’t want to/couldn’t pay him what KC is. Same reason Hill isn’t here anymore. [Reply]
Had some interactions this weekend with an NFL media personality who has gone on record saying that he expects the Chiefs WRs to be better without Tyreek Hill.
I asked him if he really believed that. He said, "Nah, but we just need to take positions like that sometimes." [Reply]

Eesh. That's the stat I was looking for. 49% and no drops? That to me says it's a miscommunication thing or he sucks at tracking the ball. [Reply]

He’s also getting the deepest average target in the NFL. This isn’t 49% for a slot guy. [Reply]

Not sure what people expect that number to be, given his role.
The best deep ball throwers in the NFL connect on about 40%. Yet we expect a WR who is almost exclusively a deep threat to have catch rate well above 50%? [Reply]
