Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

Look, we didn't move up 17 spots in the draft and trade away a first round pick just to have the guy you trade up for ride the bench for two seasons. Throw in the fact that it's cheaper next season to cut Alex than it is to keep him, and you've got your answer as to when Mahomes makes it his team.
Unless Alex plays out of his mind and throws for 4,500 yards and 30+ TDs, this is his swan song season with KC (unless of course he wants to come back for cheap as a backup). [Reply]

I trust insiders more than CP. Rapoport falls in line with another insider who said the same thing about a month ago. I forgot his name but I know he was a former scout of Reid's in Philly. [Reply]

Nah man, it makes total sense to tread water behind a game manager while key players attrition their way out via age, injury or free agency just to throw out a guy who hadn't started meaningful game in over two years surrounded by a questionable supporting cast. [Reply]

Bet me right now then.
Mahomes is the starter in 2018. What do you want? [Reply]

It doesn't really matter what Smith does this year.
One year on his contract. $17 million dollars. Worth at least a 1st round pick to some team out there. That's a lot of treasure. Time to beat him like a pinata and get him to spill out all his goodies.
That mother****er is getting traded no matter what. [Reply]

Doubt it. Nobody's going to trade for a guy that should likely be hitting FA. [Reply]
