snore...KC coaches understand the challenge that Alex11 brings upon the team and have been working hard as has Alex11. They need to give him the chance to hang himself and possibly unravel his career.

BritChief is pushing for Mahomes, a gunslinger, to go out and get himself killed in his first gun fight in the NFL.
In preseason I feel the game is not the same as in the regular season. When the 2nd and 3rd OL are able to give him time in the pocket, anyone can see it is much different is the real NFL.

When he throws passes in preseason that 1st string defenders would have picked off (and make stand) then that is 3 turnovers in 1 half. How many games do you win with 6 turnovers in a game? really.

He needs to work with Andy, Childress, and qb coachs on getting the fundamentals of reading defenses, ball handling as in developing a set of base skills for taking snaps, handing off and doing believable play action that fool the whole defense. Do you remember when we had quarterbacks who were masters of that skill set? He needs to master holding himself in the pocket when pressure is coming at him from the guys who didn't play JV in preseason.

My overall point is this:
I could stand up and tell you he's ready, get on youtube and mount an argument for starting PMll15 but I am not in a situation where I have real life experience or expertise developing quarterbacks from college to pro ranks. Brit Chief doesn't either.

Childress and Reid both do. Actually they are some of the best. Period! If they say he needs more mental fitness, fundamental skills, and experience reading the defense on the battle field in able to the job, then I am going with them. I am not going to side with a guy on his laptop in his attic talking into a teleprompter setup with a well prepared script like a frigg'n politician.

I do however feel that if Alex11 is not preforming and goes off the 12-4 plan that we all know we need to win the division then PMll15 needs to be used like George Blanda and given the chance to save what looks like a loss. If he does that enough times he will get the on the job training and the fundamentals he needs to flourish in the future.

I think Andy should tell the story of how George Blanda was used in Oakland, give it a twist and make sure it is understood that Alex11 still is the QB and will start next week.

Andy can control the rains of his new "stud" QB while maybe getting some great experience under his belt. He may throw 3 picks in a quarter but then he may salvage a W out of one of them. Sadly we are going to need everyone of them this year if the Raiders are as hot as they have been said to be.
