If that OL really is that bad and it wasn't just an aberration they're in deep, deep shit. Of all the position groups on that team would've expected that one to be the most competent relatively [Reply]

The offensive skill position players in particular. My fucking God what happened there? It's easily bottom 3 in the entire league. The only 2 that had any sort of upside were Sutton and Williams and unfortunately their careers have been permanently altered by those knee injuries [Reply]

They are 3 years away... minimum...should have been honest with themselves.
Chargers cut bait with their old guard...
Donks have a festering culture that expects to lose...almost a decade of consecutive losing seasons will bring that. It's NFL Siberia for potential FA...they sign on to collect a check...like Payton did.
Here's the dirty little secret - the Broncos have been irrelevant outside of the Elways years and their brief dalliance with Manning.
If you include the Manning years but not the Elway seasons, they're 25 games below .500 as a franchise.
The Chiefs, without Mahomes, are about 35 games OVER .500.
The Broncos were an irrelevant nothing of a franchise until Elway showed up and willed them to relevance. Then he left and they went back to being an afterthought until Manning stopped over. Now they're irrelevant again.
And they'll remain that way. Because Bo Nix ain't the answer to any question worth asking. They had him once before - his name was Brian Griese. They'll long for the days of .500 football that Griese brought them. [Reply]

Oh listening to them moan about Javonte Williams and what might have been for the next decade is going to be great.
Fucking guy was a slapdick 2nd round RB. He was...fine. There are a dozen guys just like him every season. Guy managed 4.4 YPC BEFORE he got hurt.
And yeah - he sucks now. But he wasn't exactly Jamaal Charles out there when he was healthy. At his best he was going to be a top 6-8 RB. He'd have been something similar to Pacheco - at best.
And hey, I like Pacheco, but he's not the reason we're winning SBs. And Javonte Williams knee going 'splodey isn't the reason the Broncos ain't. [Reply]
Once Paton and Payton are gone, 2025, maybe 2026 for both to be outta there; you're still left with Walmart ownership to right the course.
I'm sure they'll pick some real winners. Probably get something like the NYG tandem, Schoen and Daboll at a really really nice price. And that's what matters to the Walmart people.
Having Clark and Veach and then following it up with Andy and Pat is a goddamn cheat code. We are perfection right down the line. [Reply]

That's very clever. If you take away the most successful seasons, Denver isn't very successful.
But I think you know that, before the Mahomes years, you would have traded any number of ten win seasons for one chamionship. [Reply]

It was funny to watch all the checkdowns and swing passes and think wtf, why won't Sean at least let the kid throw down the field a little.
Then he has to later in the game and we get that 'Oh No Bo' moment and a couple more drop INTs and it all makes sense. [Reply]

Well, maybe had the Chiefs violated the salary cap twice, like Denver, they may have won one.(or two) :-)
But, it all worked out in the end cuz now we have 4. Maybe one day you'll know what that's like. But I doubt it, at the rate y'all are going. Bo Nix...:-) [Reply]
