This was the stat that Alex Smith routinely led the NFL in. They are accurate because they arent throwing the ball more than 20 feet. Reid kind of compensated for it with creative play calling...but Smith went an entire season without a WR TD pass....which is insane in this offense..
It works when everything is going swimmingly...but one dropped pass, a holding call, a sack or a stuffed running play puts them behind the sticks.
Smith would look like garbage at times when good DC's would take away the short game.
Payton had Kamara and Thomas to execute his dink and dunk...
Here are the 1st round QB's ADOT scores
Michael Penix: 11.3
Drake Maye: 11.0
Jayden Daniels: 10.5
JJ McCarthy: 10.3
Caleb Williams: 9.2
Bo Nix: 7.0
Donks are going to need a top 5 defense to win with his QB style...and some top-flight YAC skill players.
*Chuckles*
Donk Fans got suckered into believing that just by playing in Denver...Nix was going to magically become something he has never been....
At least they have a $24 million dollar corner... [Reply]
