You didn't fix anything. Only DonkTards, such as yourself, think he's the best in the league. Like I said, he's not even the best in the division. McDuffie is better. [Reply]

Pasta chimes in with one of his precious takes.
He's never won you a single game. Name ONE game he flipped the result of. I'm waiting... [Reply]

Yeah the general consensus around the league is that Surtain is either the best or top 3. McDuffie is very good but not top 3. Probably more in the top 5-8.
Just bc Surtain is a Donkey doesn’t mean he sucks. He’s really the only All-Pro caliber player they have though [Reply]

I think he’s among the best, call it top 5, I don’t care. The next top guy will be the next hishest paid. [Reply]

Right now, I think you have to proceed like you are confident that you're getting close to respectability. Even if the playoffs aren't realistic for this year, you have to assume that they will be within the five-year window of his contract. If you don't extend him, you are just perpetuating failure - especially when you consider the position he plays. It would be crazy to do this in our situation for, say, a safety. But for a CB? I think it's a no-brainer.
Oh if he says yes, you absolutely sign him.
Broncos did what they had to do. The only thing they really could do. Or as you said, they're just perpetuating their suck.
I mean I guess you could see if there would be takers for a top 15 pick for him, but to what purpose? You have your "QB of the Future" -- the problem is that he's going to be average at his best.
Oh you're stuck in purgatory either way. So you might as well demonstrate that you're trying to retain good players. There's a spending floor you have to meet and it ain't like the Broncos are just full of other guys to spend it on. So whats your alternative? Signing old dudes in FA? Nah.
Surtain's a contract worth extending.
But due to an array of dumb-fuckery, I simply don't give a shit. [Reply]
You suppose that Uncle Rusty even noticed that ol' Bo kept Oregon in that first game by completing 40% of his passes and throwing two interceptions?
Then again, you're an Elway fan. Digging your way out of a bucket of shit you created for your team has always been grounds for deification in your eyes. Why change now? [Reply]
