Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who suffered a dislocation of his sternoclavicular shoulder joint Saturday night, was discharged from a Jacksonville-area hospital this morning and now has been cleared to return to Kansas City.
#Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is expected to miss four to six weeks with the sternoclavicular injury he suffered, per multiple sources. Opening night is three weeks from this Thursday night.
Sources: The #Chiefs are placing WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown on IR, and he will undergo surgery to repair his dislocated SC joint. After multiple imaging studies, it was determined that, although Hollywood felt better, his injury was not healing correctly. Without corrective… pic.twitter.com/xtRRMvmseq
Andy Reid said Hollywood Brown is “ahead of schedule” and attacking his rehab, but he wouldn’t commit to a certainty of seeing him this season. Called him “a relentless worker.”
DeAndre Hopkins has 11 regular season games to get up to get fully comfortable within the #chiefs offense and with Patrick Mahomes. By the time the postseason arrives, I'm told there is a real chance Hollywood Brown could return. Which would make KC's it's most complete at the…
Between this and Hopkins playing 47% of snaps Sunday (still so odd to me)....
yeah, the rematch with Buffalo is gonna look different.
They can beat us, really anyone in the AFC playoff field can. But it's gonna be the hardest game that opponent goes through all year long to get it done. [Reply]

Gotta keep that snap count below 60% so we don't have to givem a 5th [Reply]
No. I specifically said that’s the earliest Brown’s return to practice window could open. That’s 21-days.
I still believe his most likely return is Week 16-18. I would have specified that if I had known my answer to a question on my livestream would be taken out of context. https://t.co/iUg2eUQdaL

And I'm gonna be right on Jaylen Watson as well. Especially if we can get a bye and not have to change the lineup mid-playoffs. If we get that bye week, I genuinely believe he'll start our first game of the post-season.
I am absolutely not writing Jaylen Watson off for the season. [Reply]

That lines up so perfectly to get him integrated before the playoffs. And since it was a shoulder injury, he's still been able to keep up with his cardio and likely do some drills to keep him in shape. Man I can't wait. [Reply]
God, how amazing. I hope we just unload on MFers come playoff time. The most epic playoff run of this whole damn thing, where we just absolutely lay waste to every dogshit, wannabe franchise in our paths.
I am so ready for the real season to begin. [Reply]

I hope so. That would be 13 weeks post surgery. You’d think that would be more than enough time to heal and finish PT. He’s hinted that he would be back for the playoffs.
Hoping he can be back at practice at the end of December [Reply]
