The other thread is a dumpster fire. I'm sure this will become one as well, but might as well start with a clean slate. I'll at least try to keep the OP updated with any notable news. Feel free to PM me if I miss anything good.
Arrest warrant and potential charges:
Spoiler!
BREAKING: An arrest warrant has been issued for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection to his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 75 in Dallas in late March, sources tell WFAA. https://t.co/XL3F7oCuW1

Collision involving serious bodily injury -- a third-degree felony -- carries a punishment of imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice of not more than 10 years or less than 2 years. Aggravated assault -- a second-degree felony -- is punishable by two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
TL;DR, his concern was at a 2, and now it's a 4 (out of 10). Still probably not a huge deal, but there are some concerning possibilities. Overall, though, he thinks it all gets pled down to misdemeanors, he misses a couple of games, and he writes some massive checks to those he injured.

In your view maybe.
Do you drive?
If yes… you never had to break suddenly?
You never cut someone off, even by mistake? [Reply]

One dude doesn't want to acknowledge the difference in how fast a super car can accelerate vs a honda (anything but NSX) and the other wants to equate cutting off someone by mistake to going 120 in a 70 in a crowded area. [Reply]

Reckless is reckless… you could have caused a crash by cutting someone off by possibly injuring or killing them.
So yes, you have endangered others with your driving. [Reply]

I haven't done 120 in a 70, in a supercar, on a crowded highway causing me to make "multiple aggressive maneuvers to get through traffic.”, in the middle of the city, then fled the scene of the accident,.
Can't say I have done that. But yeah Marcellus... Rice is just a kid that was doing a little bit of speeding, right!?! Boys will be boys... AMIRITE?!?!?!
The bolded doesn't matter. Doing 120 in a GMC Sierra is probably more dangerous than in a scary "super car."
You have seriously never driven over 100 mph on a highway in your life? Do you mean to tell me that there hasn't ever been a time that you were excited to get to some cross-town goat pussy that you decided to ignore the speed limit? I don't believe you. [Reply]

Oh no, a whole day? Then they definitely deserve a seven-figure payout. :-) [Reply]

Completely fucking irrelevant to the argument bud. Nobody gets penalized harder for crashing a "supercar" than they do a Civic.
But one could argue the "Supercar" is better equipped to handle being driven that way...... [Reply]

Have you ever driven one? Do you have even the vaguest idea of how quickly they build up speed? How quickly and easily it is to lose control of one?
First... a GMC Sierra can't even hit 120. To get to it's top speed from 70 would take about a 2/3 mile run up going flat out for a GMC Sierra v8 to reach 108. The Urus will do 70 to 120 in about 2.5 seconds.
Second... it seems you think I am using the term Supercar as a scare tactic like people call the AR an "Assault Weapon". I'm not. I'm using the term, correctly, to describe the intense speed the car is capable of in short spaces.

If have absolutely gone over 100. Either on a race track (my favorite time on the track was with the 458 Italia) or on a highway with no one in front of me. My brother nearly died in a car accident. Wife died in a car accident.

No one is suggesting he should be penalized for crashing a supercar. I am, though, pointing out that the car he was driving will go from 70 to 120 in 2.5 seconds. Name a Honda, outside the NSX, capable of that.
I'm using those numbers for a reason. 70 is the speed limit on that stretch of road and 120 is the speed he was going. [Reply]

I don't **** around like that.
Right I totally believe you have never sped with any other car around you. [Reply]
