This is just wrong.

Could Chiefs WR Rashee Rice return this season? QB Patrick Mahomes struck an optimistic tone on Wednesday:

"Hopefully we get Rashee back."https://t.co/uIfkPDfsPe

Verderame has Dr Jesse Morse on his pod. Here’s the notes:

-He seems very confident that it is not a clear cut ACL. If so we would have said so. He thinks it’s very possibly a partial tear and brought up Ryan Tannehill being in this situation, not having surgery and tearing the ACL later on.

-They’ll look at if there is a meniscus injury or LCL (surrounding area).

-He probably has a bone bruise (common) for sure but a couple of other things just listed. It’s possible he could play this season and that’s what they are finding out. If it’s PCL that would be exactly what Puka Nacua currently has.

-Is PT enough if it’s best case scenario? Stem cells? PRP? How cautious can they be?

-He thinks one surgeon thinks surgery and the other thinks he doesn’t need surgery and they’re trying to figure out the bridge.

-Unknown obviously but best case scenario he’s out at least 6 weeks and they will schedule a follow up appointment to see where is knee it at.

-If it was worse than we think (think Nick Chubb) then we would have undoubtedly heard by now. Would have been painfully obvious.

I really think it’s a partial ACL tear.

Partial ACL for a WR would mean he’s fucking done for the year

But we are still just speculating

Andy was on the Herd today. When the subject came up he said he knows he’s out Sunday and the following week.

Sounds like a lot of speculative bullshit.

So if it's a partial can he play properly while wearing one of those preventative braces? I had some soccer buddies that played in them, but they were a bit cumbersome. Can an NFL receiver move and pivot while wearing something like that? I've never noticed a skill position player wearing something like that. They're the long type braces with a kind of skeleton and hinge in them to prevent sideways forces and hyper extension.
