Last night the Grammy Awards were on. I stopped watching award shows about 30 years ago for a variety of reason.
I saw some headlines this morning about the winners.
The Song of the Year is Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us"
This song is a piece of shit and how this garbage would be considered Song of the Year tells me that the music industry is another woke crap infested dump.

The Song "Not Like Us" by Kendrick that won SONG AND RECORD of the year, it's merely just an elaborate way of calling one of the highest selling artists of all time a pedophile.
Then everybody at the grammys sang along and also called that man a pedophile.
Kendrick will likely perform this song at the Superbowl and accuse that man of being a pedophile in front of 100 million people live.
But we get ****ing banned for doing the same thing to faceless internet trolls on chiefsplanet.com?
(god almighty do I hate that song. Damn kids listen to it in the morning -- I'm pretty sure it's all in Russian so the lyrics aren't objectionable enough to yell at them for. It's just so bad) [Reply]

Yeah, she's kind of sporting a look that says drugged/abused/horrified. And it's definitely not a "hey, this was my idea" kind of look.

Soooooo.
My daughter became a Swifty. Like Whole Hog. That is literally ALL she listens to. Ever.
I'm no Swift hater. I think she's probably the best role model of celebrities out there. Plus mad respect for clearing a billion last year. Hats off. No problem here.
I'm just amazed how she managed to get my daughter to ONLY care about 1 artist. I was never there, I had favorite artists, but there were others in the genre.
So I have no clue what Sigma Boy is, but yeah, kids these days. /Get off my lawn. [Reply]

So shallow that it often doesn't even matter what music they make. As long as a song has the right singer, it will sell.
Yes. There are still great rock bands. They are harder to find today. [Reply]

Created a completely different experience. For the better. Gonna do that now.
This is the way. If you have Spotify, try to get some recommendations on new bands once it understands your algorithm. Might need a little extra oomph so it doesn’t just spit back nothing but classic rock. I think you’ll find there is more music out there than you think.
On the one hand it’s not curated anymore and you don’t have really good DJs finding music you’ll like. On the other hand it’s as easy as ever to listen to what you want and not what someone is forcing you to as it was during the radio days. [Reply]

It's easily self-curated, though.
I uploaded my entire CD collection to Google Music. It learned my preferences from the artists and albums in my upload library.

I had avoided this song until this morning. My 8 yo son was singing it and I thought back to this thread then listened to it.
