That verbiage makes me think of one of the games last season. Jones was getting demolished in seemingly every drop back. He made some bad plays and every time he went back to the sideline Daboll had this look like “wtf are you doing?”, “wtf did you see?, “why did you do that?” almost like how you’d treat a small child..
Just wasn’t good optics for a coach on game day. You’d never see Andy doing something like that. [Reply]

There's a reason Dabel was acting like a maniac...Jones doesn't setup protection because he's too lazy to read defenses and too butt hurt to handle coaches correcting him. Jones has ranked in the bottom tier of QB's the entire time he's been in the league. He's feasted on trash franchises like the Redskins (who played a vanilla defense) and being a mediocre runner. I honestly have no idea what these teams see in his play that makes TEN want to fight amongst themselves to have the luxury of singing this whiny princess. Had two outlier seasons amongst years and years of Vince Young play [Reply]

Having seen enough of Daniel Jones playing football, I'm willing to give Daboll the benefit of the doubt. It's one maddeningly bad play after another, and I imagine Daboll is constantly thinking "WTF we just talked about this!" Looking pissed off when Daniel Jones jogs to the sideline doesn't make him a bad coach, it just makes him human. (Daboll might still be a bad coach, though.) [Reply]
I doubt he’d even be a decent backup right now. Way too inconsistent and unpredictable, two things you can’t really do as a successful backup. This feels kind of like my buddy when he buys old cars and tries to fix them up. Danny might be just a hobby/project. [Reply]

Matt Ryan at least earned a buck name because he was decent. Daniel Jones being called Danny Dimes is the most hilariously stupid nickname in football. Daniel Jones is dropping dimes? The guy can't stay healthy either. [Reply]

How do you know all this? Are you on the Giants’ coaching staff?

“Looking pissed off” is a bit of a disingenuous way to describe this.
Like you said, Daboll may be a good coach. I don’t know, but I’d bet the “nurturing coach” comments are directly spawned from that sort of behavior. If he’s got no problem treating his QB that way during a primetime game with millions watching there’s a solid chance it was far worse day-to-day in the facilities. [Reply]

Yeah every time I watched one of their games Daboll was lighting his ass up on the sidelines. There's no way that can be conducive to learning and improving. [Reply]
