Everybody would love that DE. They're simply very rare. Are we talking about a guy like Micah Parsons?

I don't blame him one bit for wanting to get a market rate contract.

But that doesn't necessarily mean that's in KC's interest to do so.

If you have a SB caliber roster, you have to make hard choices because you have too much talent to pay everyone market rate.

They have been double-teaming the shit out of CJ. He has played very well and hasn't lost a beat considering he missed all training camp.

My goodness, might he actually be worth the massive contract?

Probably. He won't be a Chief unfortunately.

DT Chris Jones with the sack, giving him 5.5 for the season and 70.5 career. He now has at least 1.0 sack in each of his first 5games this season, setting a new franchise record for most consecutive games to begin a season with 1+ sacks (4, Derrick Thomas, 1996).

Spot on !! Veach will follow the Bellichek model of letting expensive players go. I remember when Bill would not give Seymour what he wanted. And he was right in doing so.

Zero sacks…..still on pace but can’t get to many “statical” games like this one.

Do the refs really not see how often Jones gets held?

It’s reminiscent of how much contact Shaq would absorb before fouls were called.

Wasn't it a couple seasons ago that the NFL decided that they would let OLs hold more, to reduce the frequency of flags?
