Chiefs and five-time Pro-Bowl DT Chris Jones reached agreement on a record 5-year deal that includes $95 million guaranteed and allows KC to keep its best defender before free agency begins, per his agents, @KatzBrosSports.

I imagine they probably have a Sneed deal they like. Next 48hrs we hear there’s a deal for a 2-ish equivalent. Then onward and upward.
My take: it’s a lot, lot easier to envision this team without Sneed than Jones. Our defense will suffer some but the secondary has talent and some potential depth. We really needed him on the DL. [Reply]
The chances for him living up to the 4th and 5th year cost of this contract has got to be really low. But he's probably worth it for the next two. And hopefully not fallen off terribly in the 3rd year. [Reply]
