for now i am going to apply the kareem hunt rule when it comes to our new kicker.
botched the first, he will be game money the rest of the way? :-)
i must say it is weird seeing the fans in the screen shots of the new kicker. the old one always was shown with nothing but grass behind him. :-) [Reply]

Apparently he was the top rated kicker coming out of the draft and the Chiefs had already done extensive scouting on him. As per the talking heads last night. [Reply]

Interestingly enough he was 12/22 from 30-39 in college. Better from longer distance. Those wide hash marks are killer for college kickers. [Reply]
I haven't loved a kicker this much since Stoyo back in the '90s. And with the way our offense tends to stall where it tends to stall, that's huge. [Reply]

This is all Toub. Every year he elvaluates kickers, HB7 was his number one guy in the last draft, but no need to draft a kicker becuase we were happy with Santos. Santos goes down, Chiefs had already done their homework and it shows.
Sucks to be Carolina. Same thing happened to the Chiefs with David Irving. Its why the NFL should expand the rosters.
I meant "stumbled" as the way he fell in their lap...coupled with the timing of Santos getting injured. He was just sitting there on the Panthers PS...
I know Toub had him rated as the top prospect...but they didn't need a kicker. [Reply]
