Were 2-0 averaging 26.5 a game and the defense has came up big when it's had to. There is no super bowl hangover this team is hungry. WTF is with all the negative shit on here? WE ARE THE BEST TEAM IN FOOTBALL!

Oddly, it seems like we get ourselves hyped up with our own promises of greatness and then we're a bit disappointed when it doesn't immediately happen. Last year it was the receiver room might be amazing and this offseason it was the offense magically turning back the clock to 2019. And people thought they'd blow out perhaps their biggest rival for reasons.
We go into the season thinking undefeated 3peat and then well, Kelce might be old, the offense may not show its cards in week 2 even if it will be better than last season, other teams will really try and teams don't just win every game by 6 touchdowns or lead by 3 touchdowns by halftime.
Our lofty Madden-esque expectations fail us sometimes, even if this is how greatness looks... so enjoy it.
First sentence of the second para is exactly it. We (myself included) whip ourselves up into a "we'll annihilate everyone" mood, ignoring that that's not what we've done for awhile. We win by grinding it out and Pat overcoming. [Reply]

Yet they were prepared just fine for us. Funny how easy it was for them to turn that switch on.
Did you watch the Pats game at all? That was not the same team. [Reply]

The Ravens ARE a good team, no doubt. That will prove out over time as the season goes along.
The Bengals? I'm not so sure about. Did they just 'get up' for our game like always or did they finally figure out something? Because they looked AWFUL last week against the Patsies.
Gonna need to see more from them to properly assess . . . . . [Reply]

If it wasn't due to a illegal hands to the face penalty Mahomes would have had 3 ints today. He has to be better and his issues may be due to the WRs, Kelce fall off, LT play, and play calling. There is alot to take in. Correctable. Wanting more out of the offense is not being a bad fan.
What? Do you really watch the games? That was an illegal contact penalty on Kelce and it appeared he was the target, and Mahomes seen the flag and then took a chance. Mahomes was pointing as soon as the play was over that it was a flag. They may not have shown it on TV but it was evident he knew it was a free play. [Reply]

We might be the only early season game they DO prepare for. Scant evidence they prepare for anyone else. I think we're agreeing they're a good team. I'm just saying they'll have extra gears (as will we). [Reply]
Something else to keep in mind for those downplaying the Ravens/Bengals losing to the Raiders and Patriots.
In 2022 KC lost a game they never should have to Indy. How did that season turn out?
In 2023 it was Denver and LV. How did that season turn out?
The point I am making is that KC is not the only team that lays a stinker every year, nor do they have some sort of patent on that.
Baltimore and Cincinnati very well could have been 1-1 right now, but they aren’t precisely because of KC. One bad game does not define their team/talent/final record any more than it does for KC.
KC is not firing on all cylinders right now and still knocked off two teams with the talent to win the AFC. Let’s step back a little from the overreacting. [Reply]

I think the Bengals have been .500 two months into the past 3 seasons... they even showed Burrow is 1-8 in the first two game of the season for his career. [Reply]

Exactly. And any season that he has finished has ended up with them in the AFCCG minimum. They are still a good and always play KC tough. Beating them is never a gimmie. [Reply]

I never bet on sports, but the Chiefs being 6.5 point favorites seemed like such easy money to bet they wouldn't cover... might as well view them and the Bills like divisional games given how often they play. [Reply]
