It is the offseason. I am just curious what everyone is wanting or getting from Amazon since today and tomorrow are Prime Days where members get an extra discount. [Reply]

In my experience, it's only good for certain items. You can find good deals but nothing like Black Friday. [Reply]

They're also wildly misleading with their "discounts." Most items are sold for less than their "typical price" all the time, so if there's any actual discount on Prime Day, it's fairly minor. [Reply]

Agree with this. It's really just a few days you are guaranteed to get the same sale that most products have once a month at some point anyway. Only benefit is you can expect it verse having to check back every couple days to see if the price is reduced. [Reply]

Exactly.
It's a gimmick to boost sales during slow months for Amazon. Not worth the hype but if you do some digging you can find some good deals on mostly non-name brand items. [Reply]
I bought a ring stick up cam for the blind spot I had in the back yard (It's now my 5th Ring camera) and I have 360 degree coverage now. Plus a couple non-Ring cams inside the house. Got a Timex Expedition for $30 (lights up so I can see what time it is in the middle of the night). And a couple "Tracking Tiles" that help you find your keys and stuff like that. I have some Apple tags, and these for some reason aren't compatible with apple's app. You have to use Tile's app, but that's OK. They were like $15 each. [Reply]

The Camelizer extension for Chrome will show you price history as you browse Amazon. [Reply]
