Nzoner's Game Room>Do We Really Want To Go Undefeated?
Easy 6 03:27 PM Today
Can't wait to get crushed for this opinion, but it just feels like asking for an undefeated season while chasing a threepeat is bad juju... its asking for too much IMO

I'd much rather we lose a game or two just to keep everyone frosty, to remind them that yes they can be beaten if they're not playing their best ball... look no further than the Patriots undefeated season to see what can happen when a team sniffs too many of its own farts

I don't want to meet Detroit in the Super Bowl with our heads in the clouds

Maybe I'm just being superstitious, maybe not... what say you?

We are not going undefeated. It would take maximum effort every game. That's not what they have done since Hill was traded.

I'd rather not gamble on Reid and Mahomes choosing a different path than the one they have used to to produces SB wins. Especially with the early bye this year. Get the 3peat. That's enough legendary legacy.
Fuck that. Here we go.... History

TBH we are deep enough our backups can win Week 17 against shitty Denver.

In regards to resting ALL the starters week 18 at Denver, If I had to guess they will likely treat it as a preseason game. Give the starters a drive or two. Two + weeks of no real game action is too long IMO. How often have we seen a 1 seed come out completely flat and rusty because they took 2 + weeks off for having 1 seed secured.
Since Reid has been in KC I think he has rested the starters in that situation every time he's been in it.

1000%. The undefeated season is fool's gold. The only thing that matters is the Lombardi.

I don’t think they’ll go undefeated. They will lose to someone that they have absolutely no business losing to. It will be like Las Vegas at Christmas last year. But if they do go undefeated, I don’t think they’re going to have their heads in the clouds if no other reason, they remember what happened to the patriots and they lost the Super Bowl, and they lost to the Giants after they went undefeated and had previously beaten the Giants

Super Bowl is the only goal.

Week 18 Mahomes gets hurt and out for the playoffs, you will have a shriveled up dick and no one will want to fuck you. :-)

Dude, I'm the one with memory problems.

Kelce sit out week 18. He was 16 yards short of 1000 yard season.

My answer to the original question is yes.

For the record, I would also like to be fabulously wealthy, immensely talented, and universally beloved. Just in case those questions come up.

I think you are right but just trying to recall how many times we had the 1 seed locked up heading into the final week of the season. Was it just the 14-2 (2020) season?

Going undefeated and getting the three peat aren’t mutually exclusive.

Mahomes has already shown to be a curse breaker when he won MVP and the Super Bowl in the same season.

However, I would rest the starters and abandon the quest for the undefeated season as soon as we lock up the one seed. We’ve already had enough injuries this year. Would rather not risk anymore if we don’t have to.

Chiefs can beat Denver with Wentz...so resting starters shouldn't be a problem.

A three-peat is 10 times more important but going undefeated at the same time....it would effectively remove any fanbase's ability to talk smack in my lifetime.

I may just quit watching football...there is nothing left to achieve.
