The #chiefs are signing former #broncos RB Samaje Perine per source. He's being signed to the active roster as @MikeGarafolo @RapSheet reported.

But this seems like a nice pickup, he can eat up CEH's carries. But not Steele's

I hope CEH to IR or cut with an injury settlement. You cant count on this guy. He gets a note from his mom excusing him from working almost every week.

He has PTSD and the team likes him, the odds he's actually cut is like 1%

He has had many ecxcuses to include my tummy hurts. He can not be counted on game day. Chiefs have cut lots of guys they like. Hope CEH is released.

NFI should still be an option for him and it makes a lot of sense if he can't get his head right.

Yes but NFI means you are away from the team and facility which be completely counterproductive for why he's being kept.

I get it and the Chiefs obviously think highly of him as a person…

But the cold reality is he’s a minimally productive RB with unpredictable availability who is taking up a roster spot.

Agree: I have ptsd from watching his below average play for 5 years.

Perine was often the difference maker for the Bengals against us breathing new life into stalling drives on critical 3rd down plays.

Hope he can still be at that level to spell Pacheco and be a receiving outlet.

Solid pick up! He was #14 last season in RB receptions!

Unique considering he's kind of a bigger back, sounds like he'll make an impact!
