Tiger Woods only made $10 million during his best year. Was Florio bitching about his pay compared to other athletes? No! Tiger made his money away from the course. Patrick is in a similar situation where his income is significant away from the field AND it doesn't count against the cap. :-) [Reply]
People bring up Tom Brady taking a pay cut like he did something great for the team. No he did it for himself because his wife was a Gabillionaire [Reply]

My suspicion is that the Jalen Hurts contract is going to be the new standard structure. By the time his cap hits become a problem, the Eagles will just give him a new contract and start the cycle over. Re-do the contract every 4 years and keep kicking the can down the road until your QB is washed up in 10+ years.
Dak Prescott's deal is interesting. He has been paid $120M of cash ($40M per year) over the last 3 years with a total cap hit of only $63M ($21M per year). Somehow his cap hits are half of his actual cash flow, which is radically different from the Mahomes deal where his cash flow actually lines up very closely with the cap hits. Dallas & Philly added the void years in there to cheat the cap. And they'll keep finding ways to kick the can down the road. I bet Cincy will do the same thing with Burrow, which will allow them to keep both of his #1 quality receivers.
Yea, as long as your QB stays at a franchise level...
If he turns into a Kyler Murray or a Russell Wilson...
And that cap hit will bite at some point anyway. [Reply]
I realize that we have great contract writers and it helps us, but I kind of wish the NFL would set rules that all contracts have to be X years at Y dollars per year. Building a team should be more about talent acquisition than creative contract writing. [Reply]

Like, little bitches everywhere were laughing at Pat and declared him deceased when Veach cut Fisher and Schwartz in the same offseason. And if those idiots didn’t learn their lessons then, they did it again when we traded Tyreek.
Now Mahomes is too unselfish and ruining the NFL by not demanding more money?
Pick a ****ing side
Exactly, it’s why Brian Daboll gets coach of the year and Andy Reid isn’t even in the discussion. [Reply]
