Nzoner's Game Room>Saint Joe restaurants
AustinChief 07:50 PM 06-12-2009
OK, question for the St Joe planeteers... Name some "famous" St Joe restaurants(past or present) and what you would consider their "signature" item...

Maybe it is just the item you associate with them .. for instance...

The Bucket Shop= beefburger
Galvin's=fried chicken
36th Street= Tenderloin sandwich
D&G= the Simon
Kleinbrodts= scrappy beef
Cordonnier's = catfish sandwich
Jerre Anne's = any and every side dish

NO CHAINS ALLOWED...

extra credit if you have a recipe for said item!

Betty's Fried Chicken in Blue Springs held the crown for a long time, w/ these gems. I just don't know if it's the same quality, I think it is, it's just got a new name now. But no, couldn't contribute w/ SJ's restaurants.

Went went to two different places. The first place had the great tenderloin sandwiches. The second (which I think was our next visit) had great stuffed mushrooms. I thought the stuffed mushroom place was the 54th Street Bar & Grill?

Either way the food at both were awesome. Wish they had more food like that up here.

That was some good stuff. Get some pizza and go next door and check out all the x rated tapes at the video store.

I kinda forgot about Sunset Grill, although I'm not sure what their signature dish would have been. Prime Rib?

Hopefully he'll do it up right,I'm really damn tired of these places here that call themselves sports bars and then you go in on a Thursday night for the NFL game and the manager says,"what,there's an NFL game tonight?"

And that crap happened at Buffalo Wild Wings to us.
