We were up what 19-3 when Pat got hurt last year? If they couldn’t run on us last year I don’t see it happening now. OBJ adds something maybe but if they try to feature him they don’t stay with their strength.

They are much better in the secondary. And clowney provides a second pass rush option. Our we also will have three first time starters on the oL.
But again, we will win. But they will be a decent opponent.
Good lord. Sucking off the Browns AGAIN this year???
And what about Clowneys play the last 2 years suggests that? [Reply]

Clowney has 3 sacks over the last 2 years.
Besides Garrett, who in their front 4 worries you? Because the other 7 in their projected 2-deep along the DL COMBINED for 4.5 sacks last season. [Reply]

Since when are we concerned at all with defenses that can’t get pressure on Mahomes with 4? Besides Garrett, their ENITRE 2-deep along the DL is complete garbage. [Reply]

You need a balanced offense and an elite pass rush to beat a healthy Chiefs team. Baker still fucking sucks as does Clowney. [Reply]
Cleveland isn’t getting pressure on Mahomes with 4. If they try, we will gash them on the ground OR Mahomes will have all day to find someone open (and someone WILL be open).
Cleveland has an impressive rushing game, but they’ll be forced to abandon that pretty quick. Mahomes will light them up again. Running the ball won’t cut it when they’re down 14-21 early.
The Browns need to pray that they can choke Mahomes out again. That’s their only chance. [Reply]

Their defense will be way better but not in week 1 against an Andy Reid powerhouse offense with new plays.
I think we win this one 38-27
Our starting defense just dominated the Vikes without Jones and Clark. We smashed the Cardinals and did not allow a first down for the first 4 possessions.
Hitch and Gay look great and will be shutting down their running game.
I don't see them putting up 27 on us. Baker will be good for at least 2 turnovers. [Reply]
CLE has one option and that's to be aggressive. If they give Patrick all day to throw then their defense will be gassed by the middle of the third quarter. Their secondary does not match up well with our skill position players.
On offense they'll go for it on 4th and short every time a they get to mid-field or beyond. They have to run the ball to keep Patrick off the field. They have a tiny margin for error. Any turnover will spell disaster. [Reply]

Pretty much this.
They can win but the likelihood of it happening is low absent a repeat of the two losses last season (push the ball on offense, use them run to play keep away the rest of the time, and make Patrick scramble for his life on defense). Any slip up, as noted, makes their slim chance for victory even smaller. [Reply]
Really tired of the narrative that they’re close based on last year’s game.
Sure, if Henne plays almost the entire second half, they’ll have a good shot.
Imagine how badly KC would have beaten them if Mayfield had gone down early in the 2nd and Mahomes was healthy. [Reply]

You're a fucking troll.
I gave a reasonable take. They're a good opponent but we will win. I'm not sure what you're weird obsession is with wanting the browns to be the worst. What did they do to you as a child? [Reply]

Yup, this. Cleveland is a solid team if Joe woods gets that defense in line. That score prediction is about right. But that's because we are that good vs them being that bad. The only chance they have is if our OL completely doesn't gel right away, but they are better than what we put against them last year. [Reply]
