So did Zack Wilson agsinst GB in preseason. 2 TD's , 0 int, 9-11 128 yards, Passer Rating of 154.7.

Which is exactly why you don't get all amped over PRESEASON. Again, I get why Donk is though. When it's all you got...and it IS all they got. :-)

Not in that PRESEASON game he wasn't. But he sure is NOW. Get my point?

Beware of the preseason hype machine Broncos fans. We’ve seen this plenty of times before.

Trubisky went 18/25 166 yards in his debut vs Denver in 2017. Then 10/15 for 128 yards and a TD. Then 6/8 for 60 yards and a TD vs Arizona.

Can tell you NFL scouts took notice of Mitchell Trubisky's debut. Said one who watched live: "He looks like he's in control." Very poised.

Cowterd fell for the hype too

Mitchell Trubisky MVP. You better get used to saying that.

Kenny Pickett had a perfect preseason in 2023.

Kenny Pickett played a perfect preseason. He will be a top 10 QB by the end of the year.

You think you have a point? That’s cute.

This is misguided in the sense that it suggests the evidence shows Nix will be bad.

Nix did about as well as he could in the game today. That doesn’t prove he’s a good NFL QB. But it surely isn’t evidence he’s bad.

Wilson might be unfixable. Looked no different really than most of his performances last season.

This is what we’re comparing to from the last two years. And, of course, Wilson also was playing a preseason game against backups.

It's evidence that when you play for a loser organization with chronic QB problems, there's no point in even analyzing a preseason performance. It's right up there with total QB wins in college.

I did notice that Nix was hitting passes over the middle, something Russ struggled with during his entire time in DEN. In that respect, Nix a lot more of a fit than Russell was.

And all that odd drifting and shuffling seems to have gone away in a week. Maybe it was just first game jitters.

This is evidence you have severe problems with the whole thinking thing.

I have said multiple times that I think Nix will be decent. I don’t think he’s gonna be bad.

But the massive hype machine is weird. Broncos fans are acting like he’s the next star QB lighting up the league.

Failing to recognize that evidence can be supportive, but not conclusive, seems to me to be serious disability.

But around here you’ll probably do fine. In the land of the blind the one eyed man will he king.

I couldn't even finish watching that. It's too painful. Man, he sucks. And he's turned so soft. It's like he believed the PFHOF talk from the first part of his career, and decided around 2020 that it was a fait accompli. He's about out of chances. It was still realistic this offseason for someone to give him a chance to at least compete for a starting spot, thinking that he just needed the right system and coaching staff. But he is what he is, at this point. Guy probably has a wonderful life in front of him - nice family and way more money than he will ever need. But he pissed away his football career with complacency.
