Timbone that's a decent sauce. The white bottle I think is a little better. Both great as is the rub. Think it called IPO or some shit. Thank God you didn't ruin it with Gates [Reply]

The beans were canned hickory baked beans from Can Vamp. They were terrible.
Looks good, but did you think those beans would be good out of the can? I always drain the nasty juice and then add the kitchen sink, bonus with smoked meat. [Reply]

You're right. That sauce has good flavor. If I had to make a complaint about it, it would be that it's a tad too sweet. Minor flaw, though. [Reply]

Thanks, Buzz!
I didn't expect much from the beans. We're not at our own place, so kinda working with what we've got. I expected them to be edible, though. I took one bite, and that was enough to decide I wasn't eating anymore of them. [Reply]

If you like your ribs dry it's a nice dipping sauce. [Reply]

The wife has tilapia in the oven now. I spent the last 3 hours trimming bushes, I'm in no mood to cook.
Not really. I expected it to char and smoke some, and it never did that. The salmon had good flavor, but it was due to the zest, thyme, rosemary, and garlic.
I want to do it again in my PBC and get it actually smoked. [Reply]

i agree. while i used the planks in the oven 'in lieu of the smoker', it did nothing really for flavor. i'd say minimal effect overall. i actually thought the planks would make for a good deflection plate in my smoker :-) [Reply]
