The Broncos will now have a QB room for Bo Nix, Jarrett Stidham, and Zach Wilson. This already-mediocre offense will be without Jeudy, and the defense lost one of its few difference-makers in Simmons.
So yes, the Broncos will be bad in 2024. It doesn’t matter who the quarterback is; you just aren’t going to get much done with this wide receiver corps. The defense has little talent outside of All-Pro corner Patrick Surtain. And as we said on the Chargers’ slide, the Broncos can’t realistically expect to steal a wild card berth from the plethora of contenders in the AFC.
Add it all up, and Denver’s playoff drought will extend by another year…This team is far from ready to make that next jump.
The only real objection I have is that all 3 of the AFCW teams have 'no' chance.
I don't think that's right. If any one of those teams puts themselves as slightly better than the other 2 and can win 3 of 4 against them, then maybe steal 1 against KC (or just sweep the 4 and lose twice to KC) and get to 4-2 in division, that's a pretty good foundation for a playoff berth.
the fact that 3 of the AFCW teams are on the list demonstrates why one of them SHOULDN'T be. Someone in the division could steal a playoff spot and in that case, you always take the team with the best QB.

Possibly, maybe 10-7… 7 wins is the floor. They need to go 2-0, erase the shame of the trade and W1 loss there 2 years ago and then they need to throttle Russ in week two. They lose either or both of those and it’s just a sh-t start.

Bo is the way. Barring just a complete failure to grasp the system, he should start week one. Otherwise, it’s start one of the other guys, watch them fail and listen for screams from the fans to start Bo. Nobody cares about Stidham or Zach.
