I just feel like everyone is going to spend all week talking about Mahomes' ankle or Burrow being a Demigod or Chase against this young secondary or Lou Anarumo being a psychopath...and then in the end it's just going to Samaje Perine bludgeoning Bolton and Gay to death.

Yeah, and it's not like they've just dismissed it. It's like the matchup against the Bills isn't a thing. Like the Bills in the wild card round don't exist. It's weird. [Reply]
The “nobody wants to play these bengals” had to be one of the most ludicrous forms of fan fiction imaginable. Based on a 5 game winning streak against bad teams.
Baltimore and buffalo were and still are the teams to beat. They can actually play defense. Ravens in particular have started to play excellent defense [Reply]

They truly think Burrow and Chase can win despite the defense. They feel as strong about Burrow as we do about Mahomes. Even though Burrow hasn't really done anything great yet. [Reply]

Their confidence in winning a shootout with the Bills is interesting.
On one hand, I get what they think that offense would absolutely shred the Bills' defense. Though, I think the Bills' DL/pass rush is good enough to create pressure on Burrow and get some key stops because of sacks.
On the other, the Bengals' defense is pathetic and doesn't have anything that suggests they can stop the Bills' offense. Trey Hendrickson is great, but he's a one-man show. Bad secondary, bad safety play, and no other significant pass rush threats. [Reply]

That’s fair. But the bengals didn’t even play good defense against bad teams. Ravens arguably got better as they figured out how to use van noy. There’s at least some reason to believe they’re a halfway decent defense which is better than terrible. [Reply]

Remember when KC lost to them three times in a row? There’s no guarantee Buffalo loses if they faced the Bengals again. [Reply]

I was just talking about the Ravens' schedule and how soft it's been lately (but yeah, the Bengals sucked all season).
I'm interested to watch the Ravens in the playoffs... they were the true definition of elite last season, the Chiefs had an incredible half of football in the AFCCG to move the ball on them like they did, and every right to shut it down at halftime. [Reply]

Buffalo hasn't played good defense against anyone lately either. [Reply]
