Can’t compare Bo Nix to Mahomes bc teams will play cover 2 every snap bc they are terrified of Mahomes throwing it over their head. Mahomes has taken advantage of teams dropping safeties deep exposing the short and intermediate levels of the field.
His terrible WR’s unfortunately played a major part of Mahomes throwing short too.

Mahomes and all QBs have to throw short because of the Fangio cover 6, and that's a contributing factor as to why league wide scoring is down over the past couple of seasons. The point is, you have to have a QB that can throw short, dink and dunk, aka play the West Coast offense. Nix seems like a good fit for that. We'll see. [Reply]
