Every other contender is dealing with an exorbitant QB contract and the cap challenges that come with it. Then you have teams, like KC, that are overpaying older stars who are on the precipice of a steep, age-related decline.
Denver and Houston are ready to do some damage.
The only blue chip caliber player the Broncos have on offense is Courtland Sutton who is 29 this year and unhappy with his contract.
Franklin and Nix have proven nothing yet, Patrick is coming off back-to-back major injuries, Javonte Williams had 3.6 YOC last year, Josh Reynolds is a JAG, Mims proved little as a WR and your TE room is the worst in football.
The Broncos have lots of work to do over the next 2 years. Starting Nix week 1 would not be smart. The roster is really poor [Reply]
Oh man James Palmer said he texted some OC’s around the league about Bo Nix and said he got comps for these QB’s: a more mobile Derek Carr, Dak Prescott and Tua :-) [Reply]

Dak Prescott? Is that supposed to be a bad thing? [Reply]
Bo Nix is a quick processor, creative when he needs to be and routinely makes full field reads. Sean Payton loves him because they see the game the same way. Draw it up and Bo Knows how to hit. @BoNix10@Broncos#broncoscountry pic.twitter.com/Wo7CFioyih

Except for the fact that he's not a quick processor. He couldn't handle top competition in a real football conference because of it. Facts man... :-) [Reply]
Time for the first leg of the Triple Clown. The Unlucky Derby. Zack and Bo put on their bright orange and blue guardian caps. While politely tolerating getting fluffed by minted twolips Knowmo [Reply]
Dude got embarrassed by SEC defenses and had to run from the conference. There isn't an SEC fan alive that isn't laughing at the Broncos for taking him. [Reply]

Now you're going to downplay Franklin? Regardless of where he was drafted, he was a fantastic WR in college. His other WR, Tez Johnson, is a projected top 50 pick for next year. [Reply]

Only if you're hoping for playoff success. I get it that you guys don't have shit to be excited about, but if scouts are comparing your guy to those 3 qb's, how could you even think that was anything BUT bad? [Reply]
QJ - Nix is Jake Locker. And that isn't a good thing.
“I see (and) feel a lot of Jake Locker with Nix,” said Fox Sports analyst Brock Huard, an old Pac-12 QB himself, of the Broncos’ new rookie signal-caller. “Having to play early on a bad team would be incredibly detrimental to his NFL future. [Reply]

MF’ers acting like Denver wasn’t in the playoff hunt in December and didn’t just bolster their DL, which was missing a starting caliber player at DE and had almost zero depth. [Reply]
