I just feel like everyone is going to spend all week talking about Mahomes' ankle or Burrow being a Demigod or Chase against this young secondary or Lou Anarumo being a psychopath...and then in the end it's just going to Samaje Perine bludgeoning Bolton and Gay to death.

Burrow really catches fire once his team is in a hole so deep that they have to be perfect and hope others help them. Might be time to take a look at what they do in training camp that results in nobody being ready to play in September. [Reply]

I mean 7 damn teams make the playoffs. You don't even have to be GOOD to make the dance. Just be slightly above average.
The Bengals weren't. Despite having a QB who led the league in passing yards and TDs.
They just have no ground to stand on here.
They never did have a case. They lost 8 games. In no way shape or form do they deserve a playoff spot. Just because they ended the season winning 5 in a row doesn’t excuse their 4-8 start. Anyone who thinks that KC is under any obligation to play starters or attempt to win a meaningless game is just delusional and entitled. KC is not obligated to win to get them in the playoffs because they were unable to do it on their own. [Reply]

The entire “logic” is so screwy; if the Chiefs were obligated to get another team in, why should it not be Denver? Or Miami? Who determines which teams are deserving of the supposed obligatory effort and which aren’t? [Reply]

Apparently Cincy is deserving because they have convinced themselves that:
1. KC is afraid of them despite 3 straight wins.
2. To prove that they aren’t, KC is supposed to play to win a meaningless game.
3. They would roll past Buffalo in Buffalo in the WC round.
Thankfully not all of their fan base thinks this way. [Reply]
