Let’s all be honest.
There is no QB at any position in the draft that Denver could have taken that would result in anyone here saying “good pick”. [Reply]

Now Brock Bowers may not reach his full potential in LV but they didnt panic and take the 6th or 7th ranked QB at #13. I think Atlantas Penix at #8 was bad too but hes got a higher ceiling than Nix. Best case scenario is youve got yourself a reliable dink and dunk game manager.

At #12 you just go BPA or another position of need, one where the top 5 prospects at that position arent already gone. If Denver couldve got back into the 2nd and got Nix there after getting a blue chip prospect at 12 it would be so bad. This just wasnt the year to be a QB needy team sitting outside the top 3. I feel Penix and McCarthy were taken too soon as well but Nix was the least attractive of all just due that low ceiling. Just a low value pick at 12. [Reply]

I don’t disagree with the thought process… but they apparently really like him, so if you’ve done your homework and he’s 3 on your list. Go for it. [Reply]

If we took anyone else at #12, Nix would have been taken at #13. [Reply]
