I was bored and watched all three episodes that have been aired so far on OnDemand. I actually think the show is pretty damn good so far, I like the character a lot. [Reply]

Come on, man. I know she was kind of annoying, but she was one of the few characters in the show that was actually one of the good guys (along with Batista). She didn't deserve to be betrayed and murdered by a fellow cop just because she figured out that Dexter was indeed the Bay Harbor Butcher.
Well, I know, but still...she was freaking annoying. I liked her as Dr. Nathan on "Oz" and after watching her on Dexter, I cringe when I see her face because I found her to be that annoying for whatever reason. When I revisit Oz, I hope she didn't ruin Dr. Nathan for me. [Reply]

Without looking it up, I have absolutely zero recollection of who the villain is in that season. Season 7 has a pretty strong hunt for Dex, which ....
Spoiler!
culminates with Dexter luring Laguerta into the storage container where he was locked as a child... just as Dex is about to kill Laguerta, Deb catches him. She has to make the choice, to either kill Dex or kill Deb, and with a last second decisions kills Laguerta. I would have been cool with the ending if Deb had killed Dex.
Season 8 has a few moments of hope, but the entire time I felt like we were leading up to a bullshit ending, which if it had only been "bullshit" would have been better than what we got, which was (no hyperbole intended) the worst series ending of any show I've ever seen, bar none.
Yeah....I knew the ending of Seasons 7 and 8 because I read through the thread. Seasons 5 and 6 were meh to me anyways. I may just re-watch Season 4 and try to repress anything after that. [Reply]

When Deb drives the car off into the lake to try to kill Dex, she doesnt go back in for him. Instead it is a cat and mouse game Dex vs Deb for the rest of the season. End it any which way you want as long as it doesnt include a hurricane, Deb dying by blood clot (seriously that is how they kill this awesome character? **** YOU) or Lumberjack.
Spoiler!
Dex had to die, there's no other way around it. Instead, they can't even give Deb a hero's death, and they turn Dex from principled serial killer to lumberjack/deadbeat dad.
Shoot, the only way to reconcile what happened is to turn all of season 8 into a Deb dream sequence where's she's making the decision whether or not to kill Dex.

There you go. Just pretend Dex went off the deep end after Trinity killed Rita. End of series. [Reply]

I wouldn't even have a problem if Dexter ended with Trinity killing Rita and this forcing Dexter to stop completely because of his son. That's 100 times better than their bullshit ending. [Reply]

Whatever un-does Dexter: The Lumberjack Years. [Reply]

I think the goose is cooked, without deb. They should have left some question as to whether Doakes was dead/changed the way he 'died'. Doakes could have been the GOAT villian. [Reply]

That'd be awesome. I loved the Dexter vs. Doakes stuff. [Reply]
I really don't think the ending of Dexter was the worse ever ( people can be dramatic) I think it was decent and definitely could of been done a lot better though. [Reply]

Then you're an idiot. No hyperbole here: Dexter series finale was the worst finale I can think of. Way worse than Lost. [Reply]
