If I were a Bronco fan I'd be kind of relieved to have lost the Sam Darnold sweepstakes. Whether intentionally, or through gross incompetence the Broncos should be in the running for the #1 pick next year. If they get to firing people they can reset things in another couple of years. Gotta find the bottom first, though. [Reply]

Personally, I have no idea about this. Any NFL front office that is not tracking this data though, is not earning whatever it is that they're getting paid. Every front office should be tracking the talent bubbling up through college football and at least attempting to make long range plans.
Varch has proven himself to be a damn good GM for us and when we look at this year's draft class we see it is rich with WRs and OTs. By coincidence, 2 of the primary needs of the Chiefs happen to be WR and OT. Is it really coincidence though, or was it good long range planning?
The best teams in the NFL tend to stay near the top and the worst teams tend to stay near the bottom and that is not coincidence. [Reply]
Now that the Commanders have signed Mariota, the Broncos should target Howell. Broncos should take one of their 3 R5 picks and send it to Washington. [Reply]

I think they should stay at 12 or trade down for extra picks. See who falls to them and don’t force it. Either way, it’s going be a rough year, but it is what it is.
