Update: CBD oil is not psychoactive, does not contain much THC, is not illegal, and is probably not on WADA's list. So if thats all he was vaping he should be fine. The story I read was from someone who apparently assumed CBD oil was not allowed. [Reply]

Great fighter, he's just not that marketable. With his douchey psycho persona, he'll never be a fan favorite outside of Canada.
I read yesterday that Bellator offered Cerrone 350k per fight on a 10 fight deal. The UFC should rush to match that as Cowboy could sell a weak card to casual fans. [Reply]

I'll watch any card that includes Cowboy. If he signed with a Japanese promotion that only streamed fights online, I would still wake up at 4am and watch him fight on the computer. [Reply]

Holy balls I bet Dana is fuming, how long before he calls the Union a bunch of clowns or goofs? I bet it happens in the first contract negotiation after ratification and just balloons from there. [Reply]

It could take a while though. When a fighter signs a card, his signature is good for one year. I assume some will sign right away, so they have about a year to get the roughly 500 signatures they want, and are going to need to travel around and/or call around for months talking fighters into signing on. In other news, Cowboy Cerrone is not going to test free agency. With one fight left on his contract, he decided to sign a new 8-fight deal with the UFC. Don't know about the money or if the 8 fights is in addition to his next fight or replaces his current deal. [Reply]
Heads up for those who normally ignore Bellator. Benson Henderson is headlining the main event tonight, he'll probably fight sometime after 10pm [Reply]

I don't understand calling yourself a fan of MMA and then never watching anything but the UFC. They're the premier league of course but if you like the sport as a whole there are some really good fights and fighters outside of the UFC [Reply]

I also like Invicta, TitanFC, and if I'm up for staying up late I'll watch some Pancrase. I don't get the channel for WSOF. After that the talent level kinda drops off a lot.
I also enjoy watching EBI, the next EBI is in a couple weeks. [Reply]
