They benched him because of performance and play and because they're going to let him go at some point in 2024. Money is of course a factor and as a business why would I have the risk of having to pay 30 some odd million dollars for something I'm going to get rid of. They want to get rid of him because the coaching staff and team works all week on a game plan and then on game day Russell does something else. Russell Wilson is a great streetball player but running a planned attack is not something that is in a skill set.

This is all why I was rooting for them to sign Payton to lead their GV team.

It’s literally going exactly how I said it was going to…even down to the little win streak that knocks them out of the top of the draft.

Now we are entering the part where Payton destroys their cap completely after firing Paton and taking over the GM duties himself.

Watch him sign Taysom Hill.

Embarrassingly, only 3 teams have fewer wins since 2017: Jets, Giants, and Panthers.

However, in terms of still being located in the same city as the 2016 season, the Broncos are top 2 in the division.
