Maybe, Payton wants to see what Stidham can do. He's had limited play but has been in the league for about 5 years. If Stidham performs sitting Russ will not look as bad. [Reply]

In one of the preseason games I watched part of, Stidham came in and the offense looked a lot better than it did with Wilson in there. Stidham was hitting the timing routes, and basically all the between-the-numbers plays that Payton's offense is built on.
I wouldn't be surprised if DEN's offense looks a lot more efficient with Stidham under center. [Reply]
