It's hilarious how he only turns it on in the 4th quarter. Dude is milking Denver out of millions. He simply doesn't care other than trying to play the hero [Reply]

As a Chiefs fan who watched their team refuse to draft a QB and give away draft picks for a QB another team deemed expendable, it still stuns me that a team in the same division, who benefitted from the Chiefs refusal to take a chance, does exactly the same thing and sees the same results.
False hope is the worst hope. It's like trusting someone that you know you shouldn't and yet it still hurts when they show why you shouldn't have trusted them.
yeah the broncos look like the pioli era chiefs. losing this game was for the best. yeah you could have sneaked your way into a playoff game and told yourself "hey its the playoffs anything can happen!!" and then halfway through the first quarter reality sets in, you're just lucky to get to be chum for a contender but you did good enough that you're stuck with the shitty QB and the shitty coach and the shitty front office and it's probably going to be worse next year [Reply]

Still, spending $35m just to not have to play a guy is insane.
Most likely they will draft their QBOTF this year and have him sit behind Wilson. After the 2024 season they probably move on from Russ. I doubt they go into next season with a rookie QB or journeyman QB while eating a $35 million cap hit. [Reply]

If they keep Russell Wilson on the roster on the new league year in March then they will owe $37 million to his 2025 salary. Not next year but the year after.
