Until they get a true franchise QB they will continue to be what they are, especially if they hold a fire sale. Also look at what Payton did in NO to see what his cap is at best.

They need to stop pissing away draft picks on what they perceive as quick fixes. There are no quick fixes for a roster as bad as theirs. They need to realize what they are and completely tear things down and start over. So far, thankfully, nobody in their organization has shown the ability to see this. No matter how obvious it is to an outsider.

We seemed to have a string of HCs post-Manning that decided they could build a winning team while spending zero resources on QB. After that, we whiplashed hard the other direction with the Russell debacle by spending massive amounts of resources on a QB without a plan to fit that QB.

My hope is that now we have an HC that will go after the QB he wants to fit a plan.
