I will give Cook props for leading them to the 2 TD'S....but let's not forget 2 things....this was at home against a less than average Auburn team we should have beaten handily. Also remember....Cook had at least 3 drives that were not at all effective.
Let's hope this team is more on point when they go to Tuscaloosa.
You're right. How dare Drink let Sam Horn get injured playing baseball!! Seriously, if not for that, we would have seen Horn out there today. But let's not mention that if it doesn't fit the narrative. SMH [Reply]

I knew I could count on you to come in and defend Drink....Horn's decision to have Tommy John surgery came in February and I am betting they knew even before that....plenty of time to scout the transfer portal for a capable backup besides Pyne.
But let's gloss over the fact that Drink can't seem to better utilize Burden either.... [Reply]
The team looked like ass again. But...they showed grit in the end. I don't think they have found themselves yet. The defense could be really good but they need to bring it for the whole game. The offense needs to get the o-line in sync. Cook is not a NFL caliber QB but is good enough to be decent for college ball. He can get you some yards, just not on a consistent basis. [Reply]

Drink had plenty of time to get another QB after Horn was injured. [Reply]

I’m not going to spend an hour + listing all the QBs that were in the portal from February on, but I’ll say Mike Wright didn’t transfer to Northwestern until May and he has started at 2 SEC schools and is a mobile QB and offers something Pyne doesn’t.

Are you that dense?
Is Wright actually better? NW's starter today was 9/24 for 82 yards FOR THE GAME. Wright isn't better than THAT? [Reply]
I had to take the wife to the Asian market in Lenexa Ks. I was surprised to see that Cook returned to lead the comeback win. I couldn't find a radio broadcast. Just finished the rest of game from the pause. [Reply]
Just find it hard to get too excited about barely winning a homecoming game even with a back up QB. That's fucking atrocious. Cook came back and had some nice throws, but he still looked like he has in our previous games this season. I think we can get to the playoffs because of a weak schedule, a really stellar defense, and good playmakers, but Cook isn't gonna ever be the reason we beat a good team.
I'm ready for the end of the Brady Cook era, because he's been one of the worst QBs this team has had since 2002.
02-05 = Brad Smith
06-08 = Chase Daniel
09-10 = Blaine Gabbert
11-13 = James Franklin
14-1st half of 15 = Matty Mauk
2nd half of 15 - 18 = Drew Lock
19 - Kelly Bryant
20-21 - Connor Bazelak
I think for sure Smith, Daniel, Gabbert, Franklin, Lock, and Bazelak would all be ahead of Cook. If Bazelak had the supporting cast and weapons that Cook has, then he would have been a ton better. Fuck Mauk may have been better than Cook if he had the weapons, but I have a hard time putting Mauk ahead of him.
The only starter that I can definitively say Cook is better than was that pile of shit Kelly Bryant. He was the worst starting QB I've ever seen for Mizzou. [Reply]
