This is great news.
It'll look something like this:

LAST PLACE! Again...Told ya! :-)

Same with Harrison Jr. Why would you want to throw a rookie qb out theee with that squad of talentless players (talking about after the fire sale)? Alex wasn’t the quarterback Andy wanted, but he made it work until he could get someone to run his offense. You don’t think Sean can do that? If your defense wasn’t absolutely trash, you’d probably have more wins than you do. That won’t change with a rookie quarterback.
Why would 5 years of cost control at one high salary position (LT) while rebuilding be better than 5 years of cost control at another high salary position (QB) while rebuilding?

Also, it’s weird that Alex wasn’t the QB Andy wanted since he traded two second round picks for him.

Just saw this in a tweet:

If the Broncos release Russell Wilson after this season, they will take on $85 million in dead cap.

If the Broncos trade Wilson and eat $85m in dead cap, the new team would have him on a 2-yr, $37m contract.

$18.5 million would be a fair deal for Russ next year. He wouldn't even be a top 20 paid QB in 2024. Maybe they could get a 4th back for him.

I could totally see someone Belichick making that deal. Well if Bill is there next year..

He was the best available at the time. Reid came in on a mission to stop the bleeding , and it worked beautifully. He took a 2-14 team from the previous year and took them to the playoffs. He built the team with Alex, and when the opportunity arose to get his guy, they couldn't pull the trigger fast enough.

He was the best available at the time, so Andy chose to trade for him. You see the difference between that situation and the one between Wilson and Payton, correct?

I realize that, but you have WAY more tied up in Tater. So, if you're rebuilding, and you have to pay for him either way just play him at least one more year and go heavy O in the draft. Any rookie qb that has to play on that team as it's currently constructed is going to get killed

So you’d rather your qbotf take a beating ala David Carr and Andrew Luck while you’re building up your roster? Doesn’t seem like a smart move to me. I think you’re letting your lack of a quality quarterback for a long time, and your hopes of this season cloud your thinking. But doesn’t matter either way. Neither of us are making the decisions for Dungver.

Our OL is giving up 3 sacks per game with a QB that is holding the ball way too long. Is there a reason to expect the OL to get significantly worse next season?

You’re about to have a fire sale. If they can offload Mongo or any of the others do you think they will? Who’s he gonna throw to if you trade Jeudy and Sutton? You say almost everyone is expendable, then who will your new qb be working with? You’ve got lots of contracts to shed this coming offseason.
