Mahomes has been sacked on 5% of his dropbacks, lowest in the league. This buffoon is taking only 2 of our OL over his. Fucking CLOWN!!!

Another comparison of a HQ and LQ pressure.

This is why charting and bucketing pressures into different tiers is so important to get an accurate gauge on the most impactful pass-rushers.

Clip 1 - One of the coldest moves I've seen this year. Hutchinson reduced inside over the LG baiting him before connecting on the… pic.twitter.com/fyDgJHaLwr

A lot of that can be attributed to Mahomes. His pocket awareness, and movement within the pocket, is what separates him from everyone else. He's not an easy guy to sack. (The refs turning a blind eye to obvious penalties committed by KC's tackles doesn't hurt)

The Chiefs' OL probably is better than ours, but it's because Humphrey and Thuney are so much better than who Denver has at LG and C.

Spoiler!

I agree that Paton hasn't been good. In fact, I think he's been pretty terrible. But if Wilson continues to put up solid numbers, I think it will be hard for them to fire him. And lest we forget that practically all of you wanted Wilson at the time of the deal. It was widely celebrated by the fanbase. We're not talking about Pioli bringing in Matt Cassel. You can't pretend that it was an obvious mistake after the fact. And you all supported the Payton hire, which I think most still do. As for the picks he gave up, that's what it cost to get it done. Whoever made the deal was going to give up something substantial. Paton did somehow get a first rounder back for Chubb (easily the most impressive move he's made).
The Chubb trade was impressive. Hopefully he can do the same with Jeudy.

I was in favor of the Wilson trade, but to be fair, none of us knew the real story at the time. Hackett was hired to lure in Rodgers, and then Wilson was a last minute plan B to raise the selling price of the franchise to Walmart. At the time, I thought Hackett actually wanted Wilson and had a plan to use him somewhat properly.

You probably drew that conclusion because they're losing a lot. That's an understandable mistake.

Elway had an official role with the team from 2011-2020. He was some sort of consultant through 2022, but he hasn't had anything to do with the team this season. His record as an executive is 90-70, his record as a consultant is 12-22, and the Broncos' record without him at all is 1-3.

Is he a stouter run defender? Yes.

Is he better pass rusher, playmaker? No.

Traded him and their seventh for the 49ers sixth.....
In other words they've traded him to move up two places in the draft
:-)

We traded him to get SF to pay a bit of his salary, really.
