But let's just say that Denver ends up with Williams or Maye. They're still likely to be at least a few years away from serious contention, even IF that QB is good from day one. Wilson is actually playing pretty well right now and Denver is still completely outclassed by good teams. And 54 mil over the cap for next season. Your next roster could very well be less talented than this one.
Agreed. A new QB isn’t a quick fix, but the right QB could set us up well for a few years down the road. Finishing with a spectacularly bad record could be an opportunity for us that we hopefully won’t get again soon. [Reply]
