This is horrifying. Supposed to be a press conference soon with more details. Rumors seem to indicate it happened on the Verrukt, the world's tallest waterslide.

I wonder if they will reopen the KC KS park as Oceans of Fun and make WOF bigger?

Horrible business move. Why will parents take their children there?

Accidents happen. People died on the Orient Express and WOF is still going strong.

Maybe they decided later that it was a mistake to have children. Add in the possibility of lawsuits, and I bet that's a sizable market niche.
Edit: WhaWhaWhat beat me to it.

Ok I thought someone fell out of the Orient. I see a girl died on the Timberwolf though which is who I assume you are talking about.

Yeah and if I remember correctly she undid her lap belt and was standing up at the top of a hill.

can't imagine they would bulldoze all that capital, but it is interesting that they would have 2 waterparks in the same area, so who knows.

looking online, it looks like some amusement park geeks think that the 2 likely scenarios would be rebranding and operating it as a seperate park accessible to WOF/OOF season pass holders and the public, or parting it out and using the rides at other CF parks and selling the land. They did that with another place called Geauga Lake after they bought it, operated it for a few years, then closed it.

Yeah they are buying all Schlitterbahns but South Padre. Option to buy kck for 6 million.
I assume they will buy, continue shutter and move remaining rides elsewhere. Flip the land for a profit.
