Seattle came out smelling like roses last year but Russell Wilson is going to be much better this year..
Carroll’s been laughing his ass off since the trade was announced. He was as giddy as a kid on Christmas Day. I remember Denver fans having a field day with his comment that Seattle would be fine at QB. Little did they know he was being completely candid, because he knew he had upgraded the position. :-)
You seem to forget that Seattle was trying to draft his replacement years ago. If Wilson wanted out in 2020, that only shows his stupidity. His coaches and supporting cast were the only reasons that anyone ever thought he’d sniff the HOF. [Reply]

And career backup Geno tossed 30 last season and took them back to the playoffs.
Wilson is 10-20 over his last 30 games. He's been falling off for years, and he was wildly overrated before he fell off. I was saying this before last season happened. I remember seeing him look like absolute garbage in the playoff game vs the Rams 3 years ago.
What happened last year (and will continue to happen) is equal parts Wilson's mediocrity and Denver's ineptitude as an organization. [Reply]
:-) I'd think Geno Smith of all people stepping in and immediately out producing anything Russ has done recently year 1 would be a pretty obvious tell Russ has fallen off and started to a while ago but I guess even that combined with his abysmal 2022 wasn't quite enough for some folks to actually see reality.
