This is a massive hole that is filled for the #chiefs. Trent McDuffie is considered by almost everyone as the 3rd best CB in this draft. The first two went off the board at 3 and 4.
The @Chiefs make a big move for a top CB (and my model's #8 overall prospect) in Trent McDuffie, who allowed 3.1 yards/target in 2021 at Washington (best in FBS, min. 30 targets).
Could be a key piece to counter the wealth of receiving talent in the AFC come playoff time!

(Gotta give a Sneed some credit for running down Henry. He was the only guy fast enough to catch him and ran a loooooong way to do it.)
It's worth noting how athletically limited the Titans WRs were and how much McDuffie clearly knew that.
He gave them ZERO respect. He stayed right in their pocket because he just never seemed worried about them toasting him.
That won't always be the case. I really want to see him matched up against someone that tests him athletically. That'll be what determines just how good he can be. Being really good against guys you're more athletic than is absolutely valuable and it's a good showing that he wasn't out there 'stupiding' his way into giving up completions.
So now we reach the next off-ramp; can he scratch and fight and claw with guys who stretch him athletically? We shall see... [Reply]

That, and Malik Willis in his second pro start. [Reply]

I can’t make video of it but Trent was clamping Hollywood Brown in week 1. He was very impressive [Reply]

Which also allows him to be more aggressive because it essentially takes double moves off the table.
It isn't like Willis was going to stay in there with his eyes downfield long enough to hit on one of those.
Not much of a test this weekend, really. Jax should be a little tougher but still not a terribly difficult matchup for him. Which is fine - gets him back up to speed on a graduated course. [Reply]
